This stately home on bucolic Daniels Road (right near the Saratoga Polo Fields) has so much potential! It faces forest and pasture and is surrounded by woods and a stream on almost 5.5 beautiful acres. The rooms are enormous and the house seems to have great bones. It also seems to have been well taken care of over the years, although a face-lift here or there, to update it (and make it your own!) would probably be in order. Mostly, a new kitchen and another bath upstairs would be wonderful (and you certainly have the space to do it!). There are 4+ bedrooms, 3 living spaces, an enormous dining room, and a cool widow’s walk accessible from the second floor. It’s about 3,300 square feet (but felt like more…).
There is also a one car detached and a one car attached garage, which is a very nice bonus on an old house in this price point!
I do so love a good project (and I hate the idea of ripping out a newer renovation job), so if you’re like me, THIS is the place for you! Plus, a gorgeous, big, old house like this, in good shape, on 5 acres, this close to town? For $474,900, it’s a very good value.
I actually looked at this house a few months ago with my mom, because it intrigued me. I thought we were looking for her, but I think I was really looking for me. I told her, in 10 years, this would be perfect for us… but decided, for now, I think Josh is just fine taking care of our little 20′ x 30′ back yard in town (plus, I realized I’m just not ready to leave our sweet, yellow house just yet!). Maybe someday we’ll be “big land” people… and if 263 Daniels is still available (which for the owner’s/agents sake, I hope not!), I’m comin’ fur ya!
Every room in this house is big with soaring ceilings.
It’s hard to see in the pictures, but all the bed rooms are very big as well.
